After attending the beautiful natural birth of her grandson Elijah in 1996, Joey became accredited as a labor doula through Doulas of North America (DONA).

Joey loves meeting with clients and their families, both prenatally and postpartum, to provide additional support and education during the exciting life transition to parenthood. In addition, she is available to help clients access needed services and resources and to provide more intensive individual counseling as needed. She facilitates the weekly Moms Support group and is available to assist clients in the establishment and maintenance of breastfeeding. An excellent complement to the holistic care provided by our dedicated midwives, Joey’s services are available free of charge to Birth Center clients.
