Abigail Fletcher, LM
Staff Midwife

Abigail was born here in Gainesville, her mother says it was a natural, gentle birth with dim lighting, and that it was so calm that Abigail didn't cry at birth- she cooed!  She is very grateful for this peaceful beginning to her own life, and strives to assist women and babies to experience safe, empowering, and gentle births.  

After being active in women's health activism for several years, Abigail was moved to become a midwife after volunteering in a woman's center in Palestine, and meeting traditional midwives there. 

She studied at the International School of Midwifery in Miami and is now happy to be back in Gainesville with her family.  She feels honored to have assisted hundreds of births, including the births of both of her nieces!
